T² GAMES PRESENTS · PUBLISHER DECK · 2026

Build words. Stack ridiculous modifiers. Figure out why the terminal needs you to keep playing.

01 · THE HOOK

Balatro × Slay the Spire × Inscryption—
built from words.

That is the quick comparison. LEXICON has Balatro-style score escalation, the route and build decisions people know from Slay the Spire, and an Inscryption-like mystery that lives inside—and eventually outside—the interface.

The difference is simple: the thing you build around is language, not a hand of cards.

02 · THE PLAYER LOOP

Build the word. Break the system.

01

Spell

Form valid words from a tactical grid of letter tiles.

02

Score

Hit escalating targets before turns—or time—run out.

03

Build

Buy modifiers that reward patterns, letters and risky play.

04

Route

Choose battles, shops, events, logs and bosses on a branching map.

The rules are easy to read. The hard part is deciding what kind of run you are building.

03 · GAME-BREAKING COMBOS

Build the run that
breaks the rules.

Protocols change the rules for the whole run. Overrides attach effects to individual tiles. Consumables let you fix a bad board or push a good turn too far. If two effects sound like they should stack, they probably do.

04 · RUN VARIETY

You know how to spell.
The run changes the rest.

  • ProtocolsGlobal rules that define the build.
  • OverridesPersistent modifiers attached to individual tiles.
  • ConsumablesOne-shot tactical interventions.
  • Special conditionsRound rules that can ruin the comfortable plan you just made.
  • Standard + Chrono ShiftTurn-limited planning or real-time pressure.

05 · WORLD & STORY

Words are only
the beginning.

The terminal is not the whole game. Players get out of the chair and investigate the abandoned Ashwood office: opening drawers, finding IDs, reading what was left behind and working out what happened to the people who built ECHO-7.

The word game gives ECHO-7 what it wants. The office gives the player reasons to stop trusting it.

06 · WHO IT IS FOR

I know the shelf this belongs on.

The main audience is already buying smart, replayable indie games where finding a broken build is half the fun. LEXICON also has a clean way in for word-game players who may not normally call themselves roguelite players.

  • Balatro players who want the next satisfying numbers-go-up obsession.
  • Slay the Spire players who like routing, adaptation and runs with a point of view.
  • Inscryption players who want the interface to be part of the story.

07 · WHY A PUBLISHER, WHY NOW

The game is real.
The launch needs help.

PRODUCTNot a prototype

The core game, progression and content pipeline are working.

RISKMostly execution

The work left is polish, outside QA, launch planning and visibility.

POSITIONEasy to explain

The comparisons are familiar. The word-based play still gives LEXICON its own lane.

09 · DEVELOPMENT STATUS

What is actually left.

The run structure, word battles, modifiers, events, minigames, story progression, achievements, cloud saves and controller support are in. I am finishing the last narrative payoff and doing the unglamorous release work.

10 · THE STUDIO

One developer.
Not my first production.

I’m Tony Trudeau. T² Games is my one-person studio, and LEXICON is the game I have taken from idea to a nearly finished commercial project.

Before this I worked in game production with Sony, Take-Two and PlayStudios. That does not make solo development easy, but it does mean I know how to scope work, track risk and finish things.

The project is built in Unity and the content is data-driven, so balance changes, localization and adding new modifiers do not require tearing the game apart.
